Fred Giordano Fred Giordano
CEO and President
Fred Giordano brings over 25 years of successful management experience with such technology companies as America Online, Netscape Communications, NeXT, Inc., and SMS Data Products Group. Mr. Giordano joined Netscape as an early startup in 1995 and was instrumental in the company’s growth. He held various management positions during his seven years at Netscape including several years as Senior Vice President & General Manager of the Americas Division. Mr. Giordano played an integral role in the Netscape/AOL transition, as SVP/GM of the Americas for iPlanet, a partnership between AOL and Sun Microsystems. Prior, he held various executive sales and management roles at NeXT and SMS Data Products Group. Mr. Giordano has served on the Board of Directors for several high-tech startup firms in North America and is a graduate of Saint Peters College.

Kristofer Younger Kristofer Younger
Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Younger brings over 20+ years in the commercialization and application of networked computing technologies. Mr. Younger began his career as a Sun Microsystems engineer, moved into technical director roles at NeXT and vice presidential roles for Netscape and AOL. Prior to joining Epok, he was Chief Technical Officer at Breakthrough Commerce where he directed all technical developments. Mr. Younger is a graduate of Purdue University, where he earned his degree in computer science.

  Gary Benedetti
Vice President, Worldwide Sales
Gary Benedetti brings over 20 years of technology sales experience to Epok. Before joining Epok, Mr. Benedetti served as the Vice President of Worldwide Sales for e-Security prior to its acquisition by Novell. Mr. Benedetti was instrumental in the company’s growth which allowed it to achieve a leadership position in the Gartner Security Event Management Magic Quadrant; he was a key member of the management team throughout the sale of e-Security to Novell and remained with Novell as the Vice President of Audit Solutions; and has extensive experience in winning major deals with leading financial, healthcare, telecom organizations, major defense organizations, and large technology companies. Prior to facilitating the sale of e-Security to Novell, Mr. Benedetti served as the Vice President of Strategic Business Solutions for AOL, where he played a lead role in customer acquisition and retention and spearheaded the strategic alliance program. Prior to AOL, Mr. Benedetti served as Vice President of Sales for the Eastern region at Netscape, significantly growing revenue year over year. Before his tenure at Netscape, Mr. Benedetti was Vice President of Sales at Interactive Media and also held senior sales positions at AimTech and Oracle. Mr. Benedetti is a graduate from James Madison University.

Oscar Fuster Oscar Fuster
Vice President, Marketing and Strategic Alliances
Prior to joining Epok, Mr. Fuster spent more than 25 years in the information technology field. As a vice president and senior officer for iGov, an IT consulting firm, he developed the iGov Wireless Alliance, and managed the iSolution Wireless & Security practice. As the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer for International Data Products Corporation, he oversaw all aspects of business including finance, manufacturing, customer support, business development, sales and human resources of the personal computer manufacturer that achieved Inc 500 status both in 1996 and 1997. After fourteen years of serving its federal and commercial customers, Fuster successfully sold the company for $21.7 million in 1998. Mr. Fuster holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Science degree from American University.

Lance Hood Lance Hood
Vice President, Market Development
As the Vice President of Market Development, Mr. Hood is tasked with building new market opportunities through the establishment of strategic partnerships and development of new markets. Prior to joining Epok, Inc., he was Vice President of Products at OneName, Inc., where he led the development of products that pioneered the Digital Identity market category. Prior to OneName, Mr. Hood was chief operating officer for Health Systems Technologies (HST), a maker of Internet-based managed care. Before joining HST, Mr. Hood was general manager at Advanced Technology Laboratories/Phillips Medical Systems, where he oversaw the creation of Internet-based medical image management systems. Mr. Hood graduated from the University of Puget Sound and holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Washington.

Nigel Simmons Nigel Simmons
Vice President, Product Management
Prior to joining Epok, Mr. Simmons was the VP of Development at Sharemedia, Inc. where he led the development of the carrier-class Universal Communication/Universal Messaging product (UC/UM). At Hughes Network Systems (HNS), Mr. Simmons drove network management R&D teams across multiple product lines and was the lead engineering architect on the Telephony Earth Station Quantum project (TES Quantum). A U.S. Patent holder, he was involved in all aspects of the TES product during its 10-year evolution. Mr. Simmons was also a system designer for Logica Ltd., London, specializing in military telecommunications. Also, a trained physicist, he was a member of a joint European team studying reactor accident scenarios for the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority. Mr. Simmons holds a Bachelors Degree with Honors in Physics from the University of Birmingham in England, UK.
